PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end Brent Celek welcomed 230 guests to Ocean Prime Philadelphia Thursday evening for his Fifth Annual Celebrity Waiter Night presented by ACME Markets, the official supermarket of the Philadelphia Eagles, raising over $135,000 to benefit Brent Celek’s Take Flight Foundation.

For just one evening, several Philadelphia Eagles, including linebacker Connor Barwin, fellow tight end James Casey, wide receiver Riley Cooper, guard Todd Herremans, quarterback Mark Sanchez and wide receiver Brad Smith, joined Celek to swap grass-stained uniforms for fresh-pressed aprons to benefit Brent Celek’s Take Flight Foundation.

In addition to celebrity service from Celek and his Eagles teammates, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception sponsored by M&T Bank and four courses of Ocean Prime world-class cuisine.

SportsRadio 94WIP’s Michael Barkann and Ike Reese emceed the evening, and Bill MacCauly, John Rock, Inc. Auctioneer, helped raise funds through thrilling live and silent auctions.

“Ultimately, our goal here is to put as many smiles on kids’ faces, and to just give back to the kids,” said Celek. “I’d say, by the looks of this packed room, we’re off to a great start here tonight.”

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Brent Celek’s Take Flight Foundation whose mission is to provide opportunities, support and resources along with daily support and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and families in need throughout Greater Philadelphia. Since its inception in 2010, Brent Celek’s Take Flight Foundation has impacted over 100,000 lives through programs like Brent Celek’s Take Flight Zones and Operation Thanksgiving.
